[Our grandson's] individual driving skills are so much better since attending your class. He is a much more courteous and careful driver. Driving Academy of NWA is a private school devoted to delivering superior, comprehensive driver education for both teens and adults.

In my experience, it was not worth it. I understand I may feel this way because I had an extraordinary circumstance, but there were several issues that could have been dealt with way better. I went a couple of years ago for a week long summer class before getting my drivers license (pre-covid). During that week, I had a sudden family member loss and that really affected my ability to learn.
We weren't able to start me on a new week without paying the full price and I had to re-take the cumulative test. Ok, not great but should be no big. I tried to re-take the test two different times. But, each time I showed up to take it, there was either no one there or they didn't have the test ready for me. I didn't randomly come by either, we had a scheduled appointment for me to come in and take it.
The second time I went, we called the day before to make sure we were still on, and there was still no one there the day of. By that point I already had my license so I just needed to pass for insurance purposes, but no one could show up even just for that. We also had a couple of separate lessons driving with an instructor. I had a couple of different teachers, but the first one I had was an older woman, maybe about 60 (I can't remember her name) and I can honestly say she was one of the worst teachers I've ever had.
She was rude, snapped her fingers at me every 5 seconds, yelled at me, asked me if I was stupid, said I had "fat fingers, " and overall made an already stressful situation to a new driver so much worse and harder to learn. As someone who wants to work with kids and teens someday, this is absolutely unacceptable. I don't care what you have going on in your personal life or how you think people should teach, you should know better.
I didn't schedule another lesson with her. The other instructors I had were definitely better, but honestly nothing spectacular. My parents wish they had just taught me themselves instead and I completely agree. The quality of the lessons and classes weren't phenomenal and there's ways to learn how to drive without spending an arm and a leg. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Kimma Harper is an extraordinary teacher She puts a lot of information in a 4 hour period and you can tell how passionate she is about safe driving. She is very engaging, highly energetic, and thorough with the material she teaches. She makes students fill out guided notes to keep them attentive and actively asks the class questions (including all the online students).
She offers many different abbreviations and sayings to make it easier to remember all of the information. I wish she could teach all of the courses I'm currently taking in college. She brought in a guest speaker today to offer her own personal experiences as to why the material being taught is so important. The knowledge you gain from this course should be the regular curriculum in order to receive your license and I honestly believe Kimma Harper has saved many lives including my own with these courses.
I took her driver's education class over 5 years ago and I still have rituals I do when I drive because of that class. I highly recommend this class to drivers of all ages, especially new drivers. The course will pay for itself in both knowledge and many insurance providers give discounted rates after completion. I think with the course I took today (defensive driving) there were some areas Kimma would've liked to have gone into greater detail about but she covered just about everything in a very short 4 hour period.
One suggestion I would give for her online course is to make the pdf accessible for editing for those who prefer to take notes in different formats. I did not plan accordingly ahead of time and didn't print the guided notes (which was stated boldly to do so in several emails.my oops). Additionally, I would recommend that they also post the zoom link to the meeting within the student center portal in the appointment (they email out the meetings however I think this would be helpful as it was the first place I checked when going to sign in this morning).

The driving academy is really good in their ways of teaching and imparting knowledge on rules and safety. They explain everything clearly and answer your questions thoroughly. The staff is very polite and friendly. You can tell that they really aren't just teaching us to pass the test but make sure we are good drivers who pass the test. Special thank you to Ms. Kimma (she went above and beyond) and my instructor Jerry! :)

My oldest son just completed both the in-classroom learning as well as the behind-the-wheel instruction at NWA Driving Academy and we could not be more impressed- with the program, the instructors & customer service! The cost of putting our kiddos through this kind of training and eye opening information to prepare our youth to be solid, defensive drivers out there on the road and keep not only themselves but others on the road safe is invaluable - I will without a doubt be looking forward to offering the same benefit to our next in line- this is a must do for all up-and-coming drivers especially as our community grows and traffic grows along with it. I highly recommend NWA Driving Academy!
