Drive 4 Life Academy is your local driving school source for Knox, Blount, and Anderson Counties. Talk to your insurance company about possible insurance discounts that are available to graduates of this course. To keep our students and teachers safe we have leased another space next to our original classroom, and are able to run two separate classes at the same time. This allows us to maintain more distance between all our students. At this time we are NOT requiring masks, but anyone that chooses to wear one may certainly do so.

Wanting to be friendly to the environment while providing safety for students and instructor, Drive 4 Life Academy, Inc. uses a fleet of hybrid Toyota's. We have a Prius, and 8 Prius C's. Rounding out our training vehicle fleet is a Chevrolet Corvette (for teaching manual shifting to already licensed drivers).
Students learn how to check and the importance of checking, the fluid levels. They will learn how to check other levels that affect the performance, safety, and longevity of their vehicle. Students will learn the meaning and location of instruments, gauges and lights. Our curriculum follows the AAA "How to Drive" program, and enhances the program with additional video presentations and lively classroom discussion. The Tennessee Driver's Handbook is used during class to emphasize the importance of learning the Tennessee driving laws.
While some programs exist only to provide a certificate that will get parents an insurance discount, the Drive 4 Life curriculum is tailored to provide all the tools that a young driver needs to make it safely through the critical first five years of driving. Beginning with classroom training, students will learn the many factors that come into play when operating a vehicle.
A: Students must be at least 15 years of age to attend classes (the State of Tennessee mandates that in order for us to be able to give them the road test they MUST be at least 15 when they start the class, and at least 15.5 years of age when they take the test). We also teach older teens, and many of our students are in their 20's, 30's 40's and more!

As good as, if not better than a quality college level class on driving, directed at teens in a consumable and realistic way. Lots of work, but it's not miserable or busy work. The teachers are passionate, helpful, and charismatic. The building is a little small, but they've got working AC and cold water even on the hottest days. Every kid is garunteed the materials they need to pass.
The classes go from early in the morning to dinner time, at least in my experience, so book a few completely free days you plan to dedicate to school. Worth it for the money it costs! Take it from me, I'm a student there!

I took 4 behind the wheel lessons here and it's a real life-changer for me. I easily passed the driving skill test after 3 lessons and feel much more confident now. It's an excellent school and the instructors are highly professional and passionate (I worked with Beth, Jesse and Darrin). In my opinion it's really a top notch school.

This class is an absolute money scam. Teachers are horrible rude. Everything they do is desined to get money. The pretend to prepare kids for driving but in reality do nothing. They're not real teacher. The only thing the teach kids how to scam people. They put kids in cars with no instructions and expect them to figure it out and when they can't the teacher loose their tempers.

I just took my drivers exam recently and Drive 4 Life academy was the reason that I passed. My instructor really helped me he was very patient and corrected me when it was needed. My instructor also helped me perfect my driving skills. They always made sure that i was comfortable with everything i was doing. If i wanted to work on a certain skill that day the instructor was more than fine with it. I would like to give a special thanks to Darin (my instructor) for helping me out a lot. All in all I would definitely recommend this academy.

My son had the best experience with Drive for Life Academy. They are extremely professional and always willing to work with our schedule. The driving instructors were thorough, knowledgeable and always made my son feel comfortable. I would strongly recommend taking the Driver's Ed course and driving instruction through them. Top Notch!

In addition to being really friendly these guys are great at teaching your high schooler rules of the road driving etiquette. I believe that completing this course will also lower your insurance premium. They have flexible hours in evenings and on weekends to accommodate life's busy schedule. The vehicles are hybrid what shows that the Drive 4 Life Academy is conscious about the environment.

This school is top notch. My very nervous niece got instruction from a very patient police tactical training officer. Is their a better recommendation? Your child will be in very good hands. $50 for an hour for 2 hour lessons. We took the recommended 3. She is confident and ready for the road even if I am not!
