A Metropolitan Driving School, LLC was founded in 1976 by Bradford Jordan. His vision was to offer the Metro-Richmond area a driving school that provides a clean, safe learning environment while delivering the best in teaching. Our driving school has maintained this standard throughout the years. We are experts on teaching confidence, defensiveness, and alertness.

A Metropolitan Driving School puts you first. Our instructors are state certified in their areas of instruction, our main goal is safety. We strive to provide you with accurate and up to date information on laws, driving techniques, and the latest in technology and equipment.

Adult Behind the Wheel Report

This package will cover control of the vehicle, left and right turns, lane changes, parking, downtown and highway driving based on current level of driving experience. Please call for rates, times and package information. If you are an adult 18 years of age or older and would prefer your road skills test to the administered by A-Metropolitan Driving School, please call and ask us about the Adult Classroom and Behind the Wheel Full Package program, this program will also waive the 60 day learners permit holding period for adults.

Driver Manual Course Report

The Driver Manual Course is for individuals who have failed the learner's permit test at the DMV three times. If you should fail the learner permit test three times, this 30-36 period course will cover the complete driver education program developed by VDOE.

Driver Education Courses Report

Driver's Education Classroom and Student Behind the Wheel are for new drivers 18 years of age and below. Before a student begins the Student Behind the Wheel only program, proof of completion of a driver education classroom course must be submitted. We will gladly give details about how to aquire your completion document if you have already completed the classroom portion prior to enrolling into our Student Behind the Wheel program. Classroom Driver's Education requires 30-36 periods of classroom instruction.

Price List Report

Adult Classroom and Behind the Wheel Driver's Ed Program: $450.00 (waives 60 day permit holding period and DMV Road Test for Adults only). Convenience Fee (one-time fee that is applied to customers who live immediately outside of the Richmond, Henrico and Chesterfield area): $50.00.

I went to this school in order to obtain advice on how to improve my driving before I tried to get my driver's license. From what I have seen with my instructor, who was Mr. Czupta, there is a lot of support to help you improve. When I look from where I have started, I can see that my skills have developed and now I'm much more comfortable driving!

Went to this school expecting a decent way of driving. I received excellent direction from my instructor. I had gone from no driving experience to onto the road in less than 3 months. Classes are very informative and the driving portion are very helpful and supportive. The instructor makes sure the make the students comfortable and enjoy learning how to get on the road!

This driving school is nice. I went in for a permit and the class was nice and detailed. Damian explains everything clear. In a 4 week class you get your permit in 3 weeks the test he gives you at the beginning of the class makes the permit test supper easy.

Started drivers ed online during quarantine and I am very satisfied with the class. The instructor is very friendly and helpful. When it comes to the driving portion I was very impressed on how helpful and accommodating my instructor (Damian) was. I suggest everyone go to Autometro for drivers ed.
