Lopez Jr. Our firm is licensed, bonded, insured and certified by the DMV. We run criminal background checks on our instructors and they are certified by the DMV to teach this course. Teen Driving Information Report

If you are 18 you are considered an adult and are not eligible for the teen behind-the-wheel. Virginia Law requires a total of 45 hours of driving with a parent/guardian (30 daytime and 15 after sunset). You must have met the state requirement of 45 hours of on road instruction with a parent or guardian which must include driving on main roads not just in your neighborhood.

Licensing Requirements Report

Teenagers 17 years old and younger must complete 14 periods of Behind-the-Wheel Instruction (7 periods of driving and 7 periods of observation). Permits may be obtained at 15 years and 6 months by going to the DMV and taking the knowledge test. You must hold your permit for 9 months before you are eligible for your driver's license.

Adult Instruction Report

All Adults must take their final road test at the DMV using their own vehicle. We do not provide our vehicle for the road test. Old Dominion Driving School does NOT guarantee that the student will receive their license when taking the road test at the DMV.
