After successfully completing your training, you can now test with us to obtain your CDL license. PDA is a Private Trade School, operating under license of Pennsylvania Department of Education, State Board of Licensed Schools. The Academy admits, trains and refers students without regard to race, color, sex or national origin. Our goal at Professional Drivers Academy is to provide the graduate with the necessary skills, education and training for employment as an entry tractor/trailer driver in the trucking industry.

Here at Professional Drivers Academy, we have qualified road instructors who have their CDL Class A license. Most of our family has 20+ years of teaching experience. We are here to make sure you get the best training to be safe to yourself and everyone else on the road. We are a family run organization who have been around since 1975.
This training course is designed to meet the needs of the student and the increasing demands of the trucking industry. It offers a unique course of classroom, practical instruction and on-the-road training. The unique and outstanding feature of this program is the emphasis upon experience. Students qualify for on-the-road training through class work and training lot applications, short street trips, and long road trips followed by a road test.
By the use of small, informal classroom situations, short homework assignments, personal attention to each student's individual needs and varied audio-visual aids, we are able to cover the most important aspects needed by today's drivers. Some of the subjects covered during approximately 110 hours of classroom training are: Orientation, Trucking Nomenclature, Industry Makeup, U. S. DOT Regulations, Driver's Daily Logs, Hours of Service, Vehicle Components and Operation, First Aid Training, Transmissions and Shifting, Defensive Driving, Accident Prevention and Reporting, Freight Documents and Map Reading.

Randy and Shawn were excellent to work with. I traveled over two hours one way and didn't have any regrets. Randy was informative, patient and clear with his instructions and training. The training sessions were flexible with my schedule. The immediate behind the wheel training was beneficial along with the pre trip inspection videos produced by the academy. They genuinely want to see you succeed! I would recommend Professional Driver's Academy to anyone who is considering getting their CDL.

A million thanks to Randy and Kathy they are extremely professional and polite best school experience ive had compared to the last school i was at HIGHLY RECOMMEND this school drove almost 3 hours a couple of times and it was completely worth it randy taught me how to down shift correctly in about an hour and kathy was amazing on my road test truly thank you guys for getting me on the road!

They have a long history of successful driver training and placement. I was talking to the director of the school and he said that alumni stay in touch for a long time. I found the staff to be knowledgeable and easy to work with. I think the length of their course is ideal to both provide adequate training and to get new drivers out on the road and earning money as quickly as possible.
