We are set up and ready to help new students and mature drivers of central Indiana prepare for driving or to fine tune their driving skills. Our enterprise will prepare a student driver for the proper, lawful use of a motor vehicle and provide the necessary classroom instruction and road experience sanctioned by the state of Indiana. Our instruction has been updated, and we have partnered with Welcome Driver for online classroom instruction with drives being done through us at The Driving Center.

Our driving instructors combine many years of experience teaching in area public schools. Outside of our State of Indiana educational endorsement in drivers training, we are teachers of health, physical education, science, English, and academic counseling.

Online Instruction

The Driving Center has partnered with Welcome Driver, for Online driver education classroom instruction. This is one of the BMV approved courses which has been recognized by the BMV to replace the conventional 30 hours of classroom instruction. In our opinion we feel that Welcome Driver is the premier course offered to OnLine students. An additional requirement will be to complete six hours of behind the wheel instruction with our certified driver education instructors here at The Driving Center.

Traditional Classroom

The traditional driver education course consist of thirty hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind the wheel instruction. The total package cost of the course is $399. 00. A minimum deposit of $60. 00 must be paid to hold a spot in any class you would select. The classroom sessions are generally two hours in length and meet Monday through Thursday during the school year and Monday through Friday during the summer month classes.

Robert and Tiffany Starkey purchased the Driving Center from John and Polly McCord in December 2012. The Driving Center was founded in 2003 and has taught over 6,000 students the keys to safe driving.

Convenient, user-friendly, and solid instruction both online and on-the-road with an instructor! We felt it was well worth the investment for our older son, and we plan to go the same route with our younger son when he turns 15. I'd recommend it to anyone!
