Our Goal at the Driving Coach is to provide our students with a quality Driving Education by giving them the tools to be confident, competent drivers. We will expose them to challenges like construction zones, highway, 4 lane, interstate and city driving, all aspects of parking, and all the things we know they will have to contend with on their own once they get their license. We focus our attention on those aspects of driving many parents fear due to safety issues. We don't set mileage limits for our on-road lessons like some other schools. Safety is our number one priority. Our cars have dual brakes and gas pedals allowing us to teach your teens how to drive in situations you may avoid, in a calm, supportive, and controlled environment. We use Chevrolet HHRs which have a 5-STAR crash rating.
- Parents we teach teens to drive when it is a struggle at home both with stress and time. We are patient professionals who are understanding as each student learns to drive differently.
- We offer Drivers Education Classes and encourage you to check out our website for upcoming classes and times. If you do not see a class in your area or don't wont to have to wait for a Christmas Break or Summer class, contact us and we will try to accommodate. We can hold a class for as little as 8 students.
- We also teach international students and adults wishing to get their Iowa license. Adults, we offer refresher courses if you are needing to brush up on some techniques.

Learning to drive a vehicle is an important responsibility. I believe every parent wants their children to be safe and responsible behind-the-wheel. But we all know that sometime teaching our children to drive can end up being a stressful and trying time. And speaking of time, it take many hours of time and patience to establish this role. Driving is a very important part of our child's journey towards adulthood. But it is not the same as teaching them how to catch a ball or ride a bike.
At the Driving Coach, we understand this and want to provide the coaching needed to become a skilled safe and responsible driver. As a Driving Instructor, we have the tools and the expertise that can educate your son or daughter on all the pertinent laws and techniques to safe driving that they will need in order to pass a certified Drivers Education class and be a safe driver on the road.

Andy Nelson goes out of his way (literally) to accommodate families' schedules. He is one of few driving schools who managed to stay functional during the COVID-19 shutdown. He helped several of my daughter's friends with the "skip the trip" to the DMV so they could get their permit and begin driving.

Very bad, not enough practice, I had 4 drives with 2-4 girls in the car. Drove only for 20-30 minutes each time. And charges $375, making me pay $580 just because I took one day of class a year ago and one drive that was not even a drive. It was going in circles in a small parking lot. The drivers ed is even better 3 hours of scary movies every day. The course is only 1and a half week long. Know that this guy is a fraud.

My daughter gained so much from her driver's ed program. Mr. N's passion to put safe drivers on the road was evident. He knew his driving information and how to educate my teen on safe, intentional driving. Another very important aspect was my daughter's comfort in driving with, and ease in communicating with Mr. N. My son will be attending Safer Driving Solutuons next and we are relieved to know he has an excellent program to enroll in.

I did 6 hours Behind The Wheel (BTW) after two previous attempts at passing the test on my own. They spoke to the DMV to find out what I needed to work on and designed routes that would give me a lot of experience in these areas. We did both in-town (what I needed to work on) and highway driving. The instructors really know their stuff, and I passed with no problem after my driving lessons from them. I strongly recommend them.

I give a very high recommendation to Mr. Andy and his Crew very amazing at what they do. They are highly motivated to teach teens and new drivers of all ages how to stay safe on the roads through intensive in classroom training, simulator time and BTW (Behind the wheel Training). When I first drove with them they showed me that the minimum is not the good way and safety is the number one priority of all drivers of all ages no matter what. I would highly recommend the Driving Coach "Safer Driver Solutions" Thank you for teaching me, and helping me learn more and more each and drive and class.
