K C'S Driving School This course is our most common course. The course is a self-paced, computer based, online course. Student's can start at any time and complete the coursework at any time of day. The presentations, narrations and other materials are identical to a traditional classroom. After students complete the Classroom Course they will need to enroll in a Behind the Wheel Course.

Enrollment in Behind The Wheel is required in order to receive a signed MV3001 and obtain their permit from the DMV. This course is approved by the state for a required course due to a right of way violation.

The DMV has a Skills Test Guide that can help you to follow and enforce the standards required to pass a road test. Additionally, the Wisconsin DOT has put together a very nice Guide for Parents and Students.
Visit the Wisconsin DMV website HERE for information about what is test/expected during your Skills (Road) Test. Your Driver's Ed Course Completion is transmitted directly to the DMV computers at or shortly after your 6th Behind the Wheel lesson. If there is ANY problem transmitting the completion we will email you to get it corrected.
After enrolling in a Behind the Wheel Course your Behind the Wheel driving school will need to get you a signed MV3001 form which you will need in order to get your Instruction Permit. Contact your behind the wheel driving school regarding their procedure for delivering the form to you. Prior to taking the written test be sure to read the Wisconsin Motorist Handbook.

I contacted them via e-mail for THE 1ST Behind The Wheel appointment for my son. Even though they publish that it is best to use e-mail they send an e-mail and say to call. I call and just get an answering machine, I explained in detail that my son just finished his temp exam and I would do what is needed to make an appointment, stop in, ect. Then I get an e-mail stating a specific date with no communication regarding that it is in regards to call that I left.

I ask for a confirmation for the date but never hear back. My son stays with me close to 3/4 of the time but they happen to pick a date that is during his mother's time of placement. I advise my son's mother of the time and date. Then a few days after the appointment I get an e-mail that solely states: " I have 5/16 @ 4:00" I send an e-mail back stating that I also believe that I have an earlier appointment and would like both dates since it is so difficult to make appointments...I ask to confirm but no response.

My son goes to the earlier appointment when he is with his mother and it was good. I send one more e-mail to them asking to confirm because we will be there at I have 5/16 @ 4:00...never a response. I go down there and a Georgia is there with one other student. She said he DOES NOT HAVE an appointment. I show her the string of e-mails without responses and complain that I am very busy and this wastes my valuable time...she responds that she is very busy too (which is insulting after we paid $315 with the normal expectation of getting some reasonable about of communication).

Then to top it off a Tim, from KC Driving School calls my son's mother to ask about, As she said, "some misunderstanding"...after talking to her Tim never bothers to call me thus this report. Go somewhere else...I am sure if they know you are from Oconomowoc they will appreciate your business. On top of this, the kids for the 4 PM driving class have to stand outside until someone comes to open the door...even in really cold winter weather.
