I am always amazed when a Student informs me that he or she is willing to "drive around" but not willing to do any self-study (homework). That comment tells me the student thinks driving crash free is only about being able to control steering, acceleration and the brake and that they do not understand what is involved in learning to drive crash free.

Critical:Communication, Professionalism, Quality, Value When my wife asked him to teach our child to drive safely and be able to pass a driving test. He said, "That is like asking me, to teach Algebra and Geometry at the same time." We still feel they go hand in hand. Needless to say don't waste your time or money.

I was a bit worried about this business when I read the reviews but, being optimistic, I decided to try it out anyway. I was ultimately very disappointed. Mr. Collins displayed nothing but disrespect and had a poor attitude (not the best qualities when the face of the company is him). I sincerely hope he was just having a bad day but reading the other reviews, I am not so certain. 1/5.

This man acts very childish towards his clients, mocks and criticize you if your an a disagreement with him, his way of teaching to drive is very unprofessional, and he gets irritated when you wear a mask around him not caring about covid guidelines Unbelievable! don't waste your time and money on him get some else that's qualified to be a driving instructor would not recommend him at all.

I've known Joda Collins for many years. He is a devoted and gracious man. His desire to teach people proper driving skills is sincere, professional, and passionate. I have recommended his school many times - for as long as he has been in business. Not a soul to whom I have recommended him was disappointed. Mr. Collins has my highest endorsement.

Joda Collins Driving Academy did GREAT at teaching me how to drive safely and responsibly on the road. He is a no nonsense kind of guy due to the importance of road safety, which is needed in teaching such a skill that could cost people their lives. I'm thankful to have learned from such a great instructor!

My wife and I used Joda Collins driving school to train both of our sons. We had an incredibly good experience. I even learned a lot and still use the things he taught us (I was in the back seat for about a dozen lessons). I quote him regularly, "First one into the intersection goes to the hospital." Each lesson is filled with a wealth of wisdom and safety. My two sons are great drivers with near flawless records. I highly recommend the school and instructor.

Worst instructor ever. He cares more about the car than the student and apparently using a signal light is a threat. Here's a fun fact the turn signal was invented to help us inform other driver's of when we were either turning or needing to merge in. Another fun fact if you don't use it during your driving test you will lose points. I forgot to use it one time and they deducted points for it.
A turn signal is not a threat. If we're talking facts here the truth is if you don't use the signal you can be pulled over for illegal lane change. Yanking the wheel from the drivers hands and putting them into an oncoming lane just to avoid a few thorns is reckless and pathetic. I would NEVER recommend him. There is an instructor in Crestview who is an excellent teacher. If you're going to get a teacher Go. To. Crestview. The teacher I got there was amazing. He taught me everything I needed to know to pass my driving test.

Joda is very professional in his teaching, my 15 year old daughter has taken numerous lessons from him, he is straight and to the point. He does not hold back in his assessments and if the person taking the lesson is thin skinned they may not be able to handle his criticism very well. If you want your daughter/son or anyone else to become a safe defensive driver he will get them there, we highly recommend him.

Incredibly rude and unprofessional. Contracts posted online were unclear and inconsistent with what he says on the phone and in person. When we arrived early (meeting location: Circle K at 3804 Garcon Pt Rd Milton, FL) to speak about the terms of the contract (he even says in the preliminary email to set aside 1hr 45min to allow time for meet and greet when the lesson itself is 70min), he refused to answer questions about the prices and claimed we were on the clock starting from the second we met.
We were wasting our lesson time, he said. He then compared our meeting to a ride on Disneyland while patronizingly refuting he wouldn't "argue with a teenager" when I attempted to clarify the contract. The concerning rebates/discounts did not match what he was telling us verbally. He began to pack up his belongings without warning and then threatened to leave if we wouldn't stop asking questions. I, baffled, repeated, "The online contract is unclear." He stood up and just left.
Just like that. To be clear, online agreement says each lesson will be $125-$145 per lesson. This includes a discount for 10% if payment is not electronic (Visa, Mastercard, etc). Additionally, there is 18$ worth of discounts for three lessons. The discounts are as follows. In section 2.2 of the agreement, it is stated: "A price reduction of four dollars ($3) per lesson ($9 total) for scheduling three WEEKDAY lessons (lesson one and two more) by 7pm the night prior to lesson two and prepaying all three WEEKDAY lessons not later than the start of lesson two." And section 3A reads: "Prepay for three scheduled lessons, do not miss any and receive a $9 rebate at the start of lesson three." When he only mentioned the rebate and the 10% reduction, I attempted to bring up the other $9 discount.
This is when he began to get upset and attempted to deflect by saying we were wasting our lesson time. Keep in mind he charges $155 (without discounts) for 70 minute lessons. Compare to lessons in more populated cities where they will charge $300 for FIVE (5) 90 minute behind-the-wheel driving lessons. I had come with my mother and we both left in horrified awe, astounded by the lack of professionalism and lack of basic manners. Save yourself the trouble and do not waste your time. Definitely DO NOT waste your money.
