The 4 hour Driver Improvement (BDI & TCAC) course also known as DDS (Defensive Driving School) makes you eligible to receive no points on your Florida drivers license and no insurance increase for the current violation. When you complete your traffic school course you select the certificate delivery option that meets your schedule. If you are in a rush you can expedite your certificate and download it. No insurance increased as long as there is no accident associated with the ticket (Florida Statute 318.14 (9)).

If you have a Florida Drivers License you may have to take a defensive driving course (also known as Traffic School) at some point. Below is a list of DMV Florida approved Defensive Driving Courses. Each course should be taken for a specific situation, which is explained. The 4-hour Basic Driver Improvement course is taken by drivers who get a speeding ticket or moving violation to avoid points on your Florida Drivers License. You must elect traffic school when you pay the fine to the Clerk of Court.
All drivers getting a Florida Learners Permit or first drivers license in FL are required to take the DATA course. This course teaches you how drugs, alcohol, prescription drugs and a variety of substances can effect your ability to drive safely. Teenagers getting their learners permit can take the Drug and Alcohol Test starting at age 14 (we recommend 14).
The Complete Florida Driving Record includes the last 11 year of your driving history with details from Florida and other States. The complete driving record is the best way to know the last time you elected traffic school. The 7 Year Driving Record is a good choice if you want to save a few dollars and don't need to know about past traffic school elections.
