Safety First driving school has been in business for over 25 years serving the Ventura county community for over 25 years. Many of our instructors have been with us for years. We have several instructors that have been with use for 10+ years. All our instructors are required to do training, physical exam, testing through the DMV and a background check. We have both and male and female instructors available. We also customize the lessons to suit the client we are serving. This includes teens/adults with disabilities.

Services
To educate and train safe, capable and confident drivers with all the skills necessary safely use a car in today's road system and successfully pass DMV examinations. There isn't a driver we can't improve. Safety First was founded in 1995 and has grown from a single instructor/single car operation to one of the largest driving schools in the state of California. For In Car Driver's training, we service areas from the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles to Ventura and Ojai and all the areas in between.
Once the teen has completed Safety First's driver education course and passed the DMV permit test, he or she can start the Safety First In Car driver's training. This portion of driver's training is essential for teens to practice and apply their knowledge as a driver, and to get ready for the DMV drive test.
Our DMV-licensed traffic violator school (TVS) Internet course is licensed for use statewide. The easy-to-read program is entertaining, informative, and loaded with colorful graphics, videos, cartoons, and jokes that will have you laughing while you learn. Best of all, you can take it from the comfort of your own home (or wherever you have Internet access) and complete it in a few hours or over a few days-it's up to you!

The instructors at Safety First Driving school truly live up to their name. I'm so glad I invested in the 14 hour package. Our son is driving very safely and confidently after the initial 6 Two-Hour sessions. The 7th one is scheduled to be done right before his DMV driving test to exponentially increase the chances of passing on the 1st try. They are also great at following up the night before each session to make sure our son is ready to go for the next day.

My daughter took lessons from Patty who was wonderful, she was very patient and knowledgeable in all aspects of driving and the DMV drive test. Yesterday my daughter passed her behind-the-wheel test with a 100%, the examiner even wrote Excellent on her paperwork. I highly recommend Patty and Safety First.

Definitely the BEST driving school around in my area. without a doubt, i would not have passed if i hadn't gone through safety first. i waited until the last minute to take all three of my classes and i didn't think i would be ready but their instructors are phenomenal and i passed! especially Amer, best driving coach ever. safety first is the only way to go!

I had a great experience with my instructors Frank and Patricia. With patience and detailed tips and instructions, I was able to learn how to drive safely and confidently. They provided a proper method of sanitation and precaution with masks and all necessary measures. The care and service provided here was amazing! Would definitely recommend for anyone interested in learning to drive in the most safe way possible! Thanks for all the help :D

I can't say enough about Safety First Driving School! Dee, who books your appointments, is sooooo wonderful, thorough and such a joy to speak with. I just signed my 2nd child up. My first son had Carla as his driving instructor and she was amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure my son was ready for his driving test. And yes. he passed. : I would 100% recommend Safety First Driving School!

I have used Safety First Driving School for my driving lessons and my experience has been great. Each instructor I had was professional, nice, and gave me good feedback on how to improve my driving skills. They were very patient and I never felt pressured or stressed out while on the road with them. I would definitely recommend Safety First Driving School to any student.

Great driving school! Highly recommended! I took most of my lessons with Frank, a few with Amer, one with John and one with Johnathan. They are all amazing instructors! I'd say that you cannot go wrong with any of them. I never learned driving before taking lessons with them, and I passed the driving test on the first try. Super happy and would recommend anyone who's new to driving.
