Thank you for taking the time to stop by and learn more about New England Driving School! We are a family owned and operated driving school that has been serving the south shore area since 2003. Although times have changed, we take great pride in the way we have preserved the same values instilled on our first day.

Driver's Education Report

Individuals under the age of 18 are required to complete the driver's education program within 2 years of starting in order to be eligible for a road test exam. The course consists of 30 hours of classroom, 12 driving hours, 6 observation hours, and a 2 hour Parent/Guardian class must be attended (valid for 5 years).

Behind The Wheel Report

Once the student has passed their permit test, and the parent class credit has been fulfilled, he/she will be eligible to set up the 12 driving hours and 6 observation hours. During this time we do our best to accommodate around the students busy life and schedule driving hours to fit his or her schedule.

Adult Lesson Report

Individuals over the age of 18 who hold a MA permit may choose to skip the driver's education program and instead do "Adult lessons" which consists of one-on-one training in the vehicle with one of our certified instructors. This lesson would be on the road instruction and based on the individuals skill level.

The team are great. I am a senior driver moving from the UK and Vanessa guided me through all the steps to enable me to get my Learners Permit with the DMV. Dave and Mike then gave me a couple of lessons to guide me through the practical issues of driving on the right and I passed first time today. Many thanks to the team. Highly recommended!

I was able to learn everything I needed, through driving classes and on-the-road lessons, to pass my road test. Everyone I interacted with at NEDS was super helpful, and I owe my success to them. I recommend teens in and around Weymouth to attend NEDS to kickstart the road to your license.

Driving instructors were patient and kind and pick ups drop off convenient and prompt. I called their office many times to see if they had driving hour cancellations so my daughter could complete her hours faster and they were so helpful, kind and patient. Rachel especially. Oh, and she passed her road test first time! Highly recommend

Overall, I had a great experience! Very professional. When you call their office, their team will be there to quickly answer. Mike is great. The job is his passion and as result he tries his best! He is patient, understanding, and a great teacher. He walked me through all parts of a road test as we practiced and consistently displayed his passion for the job that he does. Paul is great too.

His approach is extremely gentle and informative. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for the best driving school in the south shore! By the way. I passed my road test in first attempt!

Overall, I had a great experience. Took the driver course via Zoom due to the pandemic. The owner, David was the instructor. I give him and the staff credits for being calm and collective working with teenagers. During driving hours, I was a little overwhelmed at the beginning but some of the staff made sure to be calm and reassuring. As long as you continue with driving outside of the professional lesson, you will gain your skills.

I started zoom class in February every Saturdays til the first Saturday of March. And with driving hours it takes time. I got my license the last week of June. Best of luck to the future students! -Bacon

The NEDS team is great. The in class and road instructors were good. The team provided useful information to new students and parents. The communication and emails were very thorough, driving hours were generally easy to book and reschedule. Their online portal is so simple. I'll be sending my second son there in a couple years time.

This is hands down the best driving school around. They take the time to teach all the skills that you'll need to not only be comfortable driving but to also pass your driving test. The instructors and staff are very patient and supportive as you learn to drive.

We loved NEDS. My son enjoyed the classes. He was very well prepared for his road test. Vanessa and the other staff, plus the owner Dave and every driving instructor were all great. Very helpful, patient and informative. I highly recommend!
