NR Driving School

I echo many other reviewers who complain about the capacity of on-road driving lessons for students. The company is mis-managed and has too many students for the amount of driving hours available. Similar experience to others of no one answering phone and no call backs when messages left for both myself and my young driver. No recommendation here.

Never used them but I've been behind their student drivers and they have them driving 15-20 under the speed limit. don't teach kids to drive like old people thanks.

Ok, I first thought this school was less than stellar, but I was way off on my first impressions. It is almost a family affair-styled business with instructors that have years of experience, compassion and the know-how to deal with teenagers of all walks of life. They were flexible in their approach to scheduling and really tried hard to accommodate when possible.

My kid just finished the driving hours, and all she did was remark on the various instructor's abilities to make her feel comfortable and safe. I would recommend them to anyone that needs to go through this important time!

TL;DR pick another driving school and save yourself frustration. Apparently this is a common theme for this business. Kids take their online course and then can't get their road hours scheduled. When you try to call the office, there's never any answer no matter what time of day you try. They do not respond to voice messages. They also don't respond to email.

If you drive by their physical office, nobody is there either. If you're not going to complete the terms of the paid contract you agreed to, you need to refund the parents the money they've spent to get the smallest part of your service completed.

My grandson finished his online classes a few weeks ago. He mailed in his copy of his permit. He has gone online to try and book his driving hours, the website won't let him book them. We have called, texted and left messages. No response from this school. I WOULD NOT recommend this school to anyone. They take your money and don't provide services.

Critical:Quality It's been 3 months and school won't get back to me or my son to schedule driving hours. Online schedule doesn't work. Not happy WISH we picked another school. Sons supposed to get his drivers license next month and completed zero driving hours. I want my money back!

This business is failing to follow through on their services. We have been patient and understanding. This business has failed to honor its contract by accepting its 800.00 tuition and not offering services afterwards. A year later we still yet have any response from this business. I would not recommend this school. Such a huge disappointment, for all.

These bafoons terrorize my neighborhood by making it a training area for their school. I have had staff members behave aggressively towards me while I am driving in my own neighborhood. Don't waste your money the reviews don't lie. Unfriendly and aggressive employees.

Some very nice instructors but they are greatly overshadowed by very rude instructors. I had to call non stop just to schedule hours and the drivers Ed class is the worst class to ever exist. I'd rather slam my testicles on a car door than go through that class again. Scheduling was horrendous even before covid happened. Poorly run company.

This driving school is the real life equivalent to a Trojan horse. It seems nice from the outside but once you take the classes and it becomes time to schedule a drive time, it is hell on Earth. The online system is atrocious, words can not describe the headache that is signing up for the NR Driving School drive time hours. You can try calling them and asking them to do it for you, but they won't answer.

I have had to call and even walk into the school numerous times to actually get their assistance signing up for hours. This same situation has not only happened to me, but many others. If you are looking for a school that is worth your money and time, I recommend looking at the Sullivan Driving School in Kingston, much better environment and much less of a headache.

Very Happy with this driving school. They did a great job instructing my son, scheduling his driving hours, communicating with us and getting him to the road test. He was able to schedule the exam for exactly six months after his permit - no time wasted. Had a much different and difficult experience with a different driving school with other child. Happy with NR.

My daughter's experience with Ellen at NR Driving School was excellent. Ellen was kind and patient and worked diligently with my daughter to perfect her driving skills. My daughter waited until she was older to get her license and NR Driving School made it easy to schedule appointments around her current work schedule. My daughter got her license just last week.first try without a hitch. Thank you for all your teaching and support!

Bill and Lisa at North River Driving school are amazing. Getting driving hours was easy and they taught my daughter everything she needed to know to be a safe driver. Highly recommend!

Absolutely terrible service, waste of money and time.incredibly rude instructor who will publicly make fun of/pick on students in the class to embarrass them. Instructor also does not tech about the rules of the road, he simply plays D.E videos on the tv and tells personal stories, completely unrelated to the topic or driving in general. As a recent graduate of his class I would have to say I learned more about driving via google/my parents than I did from him in the week long class I took.

The classroom is also incredibly small which should only seat around 15-20 students.yet there were well over 35 students packed into that room, 6 hours a day for 5 straight days. Absolutely brutal. If I could give 0 stars I would.

This is the worst driving school ever. rude secretary and her husband rarely talks about drivers ed. please choose another place besides this or your kids will have an awful time.
