I'm Brenda K.Van Slyke, owner of Horizon Safety Training. L.L.C. Here at Horizon Safety Training we specialize in safety training, OSHA training and company site inspections throughout Arizona. We strive to have the most knowledgeable training classes, while at the same time making sure that the information is taught in an interactive memorable way leaving our students with an enjoyable experience they remember.
The objective of the site inspections is to identify safety program deficiencies and hazards. Independent safety inspection frequently reveal items that the company would never have noticed until an actual OSHA inspection occurred or an employee was either seriously or fatally injured. By going through the inspection the company can correct items it might have otherwise been given an OSHA citation for during an OSHA inspection. Just a single OSHA inspection can cost tens of thousands of dollars in citation penalties.
The 10-Hour OSHA Construction 1926 course is recommended by OSHA as an orientation to occupational safety and health for workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926. INCLUDES: Upon successful completion of course participants will receive within 4-6 weeks an OSHA 10-Hour Construction course completion card from the Department of Labor.
The OSHA Compliance Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens course educates one whose job may expose them to blood or blood products. Horizon Safety Training exceeds OSHA Bloodborne Standard by including airborne pathogens to help employees protect themselves against illnesses that can result in debilitating disease.

I come here every two years to renew my CPR certification. I can go for free at my job, but this training is SO much more through and fun learning! This year Brenda had new improved mannikins. They had light that turned red and green, so you knew if you were pressing the correct depth and speed for your CPR. She also had a new device to help us teach us how to do the abdominal thrust otherwise known as the Heimlich maneuver.
What startled us all is when the procedure was performed on me.on the fake belly, nerf throw up popped out the tube! it was hysterical! That's how you knew if you did it correctly! This is the only place to get your training. Through, educational, fun and if you need extra attention. Brenda spends that one on one time with you!

Very Informative Class That's so hands on Brenda Is a soooo nice love her personality & totally recommend this location for any CPR training in the health care. A lot more hands on which I like because the last CPR class I didn't like too much because it wasn't all that hands on it was just a lot of videos with the last CPR class I did. The Course was very amazing only 2 1/2 hours worth your money & time.

I TOTALLY recommend Horizon Safety Training in Tempe for for those who need to get your CPR and First Aid Cards. Brenda is very knowledgeable in What she does. I took the class today and she really made sure I understand and learned how to do it. She was patient and very clear on her explanation to me. They don't cancel any class and this is a rule for them which shows they care for us because they know we need those certifications to comply with our jobs. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Good class. Concise. Great instructor (Valerie). Having taken CPR from many sources in the past 40 years, every 1-2 years, I can say this is one of the best! Only think missing was a handout/book, but that is available if one chooses to use your printer at work or home, so no big deal. All in all, a great way to keep on top of your CPR Ed needs!

Excellent class. The instructor Brenda was awesome and she took the time to answer all our questions and gave clear instructions. I was amazed at how much has changed in the past 20 years since I last took the training. I plan to retake every 2 years to stay on top of the latest information. I would recommend to everyone.
