SafeWay Driving provided our family the convenience of their great online course and backed it up with their highly professional in-car training. All my kids will go to SafeWay for driver training. It's amazing how much we don't know about driving a car like you should drive a car. I learned I had been driving the wrong way for 30 years and am glad I took the time to get better behind the wheel.
The total number of hours your teen will drive with a Certified Professional Driving Instructor included in each package. The Texas "Less Tears-More Years" Act requires a parent, guardian or professional instructor to drive with each teen for 30 hours, no more than one per day, and 10 of which must be at night, following completion of their initial driving course.

I called them 50+ times left messages when their mailbox was not FULL and got no response couldnt get my course unlocked and now will not meet my deadline after already having had paid 50$ for an extension terrible overall customer service i would give them a negative 5 if i could i would recommend you much rather put your kid in a defensive driving course cost lost and is a whole lot quicker and better

In the process of getting my driver's license, Safeway Driving made life 10 times easier. It was convenient since it was nearby, and it worked with parent taught and class taught drivers education. The instructors are very nice, straightforward, and easy to work with. This is definitely the best local place to go to take the drivers test.

The instructors for the driving portion are great, however the online portion has been a disappointment. It's expensive and You essentially have 3 months to complete a ton of material which is difficult to complete during school. If you don't complete the course within 3 months then it's $50 for every 30 day extension. I am currently on my daughters second extension and she will likely need a third. Go with Aceable online instead. It's Cheaper and there are no time restraints. Then if you want to sign up for the driving portion that is alright.

3/28/17 @ 4:30 pm. If I could give them zero stars I would. Do not, I repeat, do not use the Sienna driving school off Sienna ranch Road. Long story short, traffic in right lane (east bound traffic) on Sienna ranch road were stopped as to not block intersection. People in left lane could still proceed east, or forward, since there was no traffic in that lane. 15- year old left parking area to cross both lanes to turn left onto northbound lanes of Sienna ranch road.
Driver in left lane hit the breaks to not t-bone said vehicle. Drivers ed teacher threw up his hands as to say he had the right of way crossing traffic. I often wondered if the teachers in these drivers ed vehicles knew the rules of the road. Now I know.

The instructors may be great.but the online course work will drive you absolutely nuts. The kids are asked to watch several moderately long videos and then asked questions. After the first video is lesson 1, one of the questions is what type of car does Safeway use. I can't understand why it matters if they drive a Toyota, Honda or Rolls-Royce, but the kids have about a 25% percent chance of answering the question correctly as that is hardly the type of info that one might watch for in an instructional video about driving.
In tonight's example we watched a bunch of cars sliding down an icy road and crashing into each other at slow speed while "Winter Wonderland" played in the background. Question 2 was how many cars we involved in the accident? Again, how could that observation possibly be pertinent to learning how to drive? The sad part is that Safeway qualifies our kids for insurance discounts.
I wonder if our state regulators and the insurance industry approve of such useless instructional materials. The majority are a waste of time and, given the amount of money involved, I would consider it a industry or state sanctioned scam.

We have used this company for 3 kids now and it seems to work.at least it keeps my sanity by keeping me from having to do the heavy lifting in terms of teach my kids the rules of the road and basic driving skills. It offers a combination of classroom and driving training. My kids did not complain too much so it must be A-OK or I would have heard about it.
There are some inconveniences.parking for pick-up and drop off are a challenge.and worrisome since you can image all those young drivers driving their parents huge SUVs buzzing around. Also, signing up for drives is a bit of a challenge as well. They now have an online system but getting the times that work for your schedule can be difficult and they fill up quickly.
The good news is they give you a reasonable amount of time to get them all completed and you are responsible for setting the schedule so it is flexity. It is not cheap but my sanity was worth it.
