Labonte's Auto School is owned and operated by Labontes Auto School LLC. We have offered Driver Education Services to MA&RI residents since 1971. Come in for comprehensive driver education programs for both Rhode Island and Massachusetts students. In 2004, Labonte's received the International Outstanding Business Education Partnership of the Year Award for their collaboration with the South Coast Educational Collaborative.

MA Driving Lessons Report

Adult Students must purchase a Package of 3 Driving Appointments before we book any lessons. Adult students must be prepared to spend up to 2 hours in the car during each appointment, because another student driver drives you back home at the end of your lesson. A 2-hour Parent Class which at least one parent has to attend (a Parent Class certificate is valid for 5 years) Parent classes are free of charge. The Parent class must have been completed before a student can start booking driving lessons with a Driving School.

Labonte's is the best for driver's education. I loved my instructor Charlie as he was quick to the point but still provided enough information. It is also helpful because they are able to help you through every step of receiving a driver's license (ie. driver's lessons and scheduling tests). 10/10 would recommend the experience.

I know driving school can be boring at times, but I felt like my teacher kept the topics interesting. I felt like the notes went by a little fast at times and I may of missed some for that reason, but majority I got. I heard about the Auto school from one of mom's friends and she said this place was one of the best near by. And I want to thank you guys for giving me all the notes and info I would need.

Jim was my driving instructor. Patient and frank but he never came off rude. The school itself was very willing to accept my costs being covered by an external program, and the customer service itself was punctual and willing to help when I had to change the location of my pick-up point last minute. I completed the class for Ri and can say that even over zoom I feel completely prepared to get on the road. This was an extensive class that went through not only the basics but the also the safety of driving. If you are able to attend 4hours every Tuesday and Thursday for 4 week then I highly recommend.

I LOVED my driving lessons. I was very nervous to start driving, but when I got in the car with Amber Doe on the first day I immediately felt comfortable. I learned so much from her over those few months, and I know I would never have passed the test on the first try without her. I have had 2 of my children take their drivers ed here and 1 will be starting next year. All of the instructors are great. Kim who answers the phone is awesome and super patient. They explain everything and answer all of your questions. I highly recommend Labonte's!
