Suburban Truck Driver Training

I just finished up at Suburban, and I have to say, it is a really good truck driving school. Every instructor does everything they can to help you graduate. All of them work very hard to figure out what you as a person need to do to succeed on the road. The equipment isn't always the easiest to work with at times, but that's life. If anything, it pushes you to work a little harder to achieve your goal, and that's never a bad thing.

I would highly recommend going to Suburban, as they do everything they possibly can to help you graduate in a timely manner. Keep in mind this is not an easy task, but if you apply yourself daily, and stay committed and don't give up, you will succeed, and they will help you every step of the way!

I'd give this school a 3/5. With it being very overcrowded was a negative. I failed my test two times which is my fault but I don't think how the school is structured really helped either. I do feel like it is good people who works there but 4/5 instructors to 40 people won't really help someone who needs 1 on 1 help. But overall it's a decent school. I'd prefer to go through a company though so you'll be able to get real experience.

The school is cool, with a part of being overcrowded is something very serious. And also when it's time to write off your taxes when you pay for school out-of-pocket, the school will give you the biggest runaround. still haven't received a straight answer

Suburban is ok just don't ask Esther (the permit instructor) too many questions. She gets upset and your on your own. Also you don't get your certificate of completion until you find a job. This is why they have a high success rate for job placement. They hold your certificate of school completion hostage until you start working. They don't care about ANYTHING but getting your money.

The school is SOOOO overcrowded. They supply you with raggedy equipment and you teach yourself. The trucks they let you drive on the road would NEVER pass inspection. I had to edit this post because I've come to learn a lot since I graduated from here.

You will save yourself a lot of time by studying on the CDL prep app first to get your permit do that first then come to this school classes moves way to fast anyways and they are over packed and they do not talk to you with respect and don't give you enough time on a truck they make you stand around for 4 hours only to get one turn and some of the instructors don't know how to talk to peaple they will only walk you through it once and expect you to know everything save yourself time and study and take the secretary of state test before you go to a truck driver school and don't come here all honesty YouTube taught me more than they did they just won't your money PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

The staff here are all nice, professional, and motivational, through this process. Vern my counselor was very encouraging and motivating, from the fist time I talked to him on the phone Mrs, E is a wonderful teacher with a very beautiful personality, her teaching is awesome, I Love that woman The instructors are brilliant, especially for the work they did with me, I was having doubts that I didn't speak of, but there teaching will equip you with the tools you need to obtain your CDL, I have nothing but good things to say about them Ron, Tom, Dave, Carl, and even Mr. Upshift (Eric) who trained me on the road. I thank you all for putting me in a position to be able to start a career, I thank Brittany as well for her help to find me a company to work wit.

Just recently graduated from this school and let me tell you, they give you all of the tools that you'll need to succeed and graduate. The instructors are top notch, with years of experience that they pass on to you. The way they show you how to do the maneuvers to move their trucks is like they control with their minds rather than the steering wheel. Ron, Karl, and Tom are the best instructors I could have ever asked for. Always willing to help out with words of advice on how to better yourself and your driving. And the driving instructors are top notch as well, and so easy to learn from.

I got my cdl through Suburban and it only took me 4 week. Miss Esta was great in the class room, Dave did a excellent job in the yard and when it comes to the road all i can say Butch is the man! I want to say thank you all the staff and team members of Suburban Truck Driving School also.

I am so grateful to everyone at suburban truck driving training school for me as a Muslim I was able to do my training and allow me to pray at the school that was very important to me I am truly grateful to everyone at suburban I have to mention two people specifically DEBBIE I thank u so much for ur encouragement to PERRY how can I ever forget u give me hope when I thought I was never going to be able to do this I truly appreciate ur help from the bottom of my heart thank u so much!

Suburban Trucking School is the best. I had a great experience. My counselor Vern Fuller was dedicated to my success, he really wanted me to win and get my CDL's. The staff was hands on, walked me thru everything; step-by-step. However, they are not going to hold your hand. It's a grown folk environment, you'll get out of it exactly what you put into it. Instructor Bob showed me a lot about the truck and trailer. It was fun riding with him. Suburban Trucking School is definitely the trucking school for everybody.

This is an awesome school. They really showed me that they care a lot about there students. They will help you over and over again till you get it down. Remember your going to be perfect, nor do you need to be. Your training! Last make sure you give a 110%, this is your life, future and a great opportunity. My husband and I just graduated from suburban truck driving school and we absolutely loved it. The best teacher on the yard for us was TOM, CARL AND DAVE. GREAT INSTRUCTORS. ESPECIALLY TOM. He taught me with patience how to do the 90's which I was having problems with. Thank you Tom. And on the rode ERIC AND DAVE are BEAST. ERIC taught me how to down shift as smooth a butter. VERN was my counselor and all he did was TALK. Sold me nothing but dreams. But all in all it was great. Thanks again.

My mate and I are currently a student of suburban truck driving training school. I would recommend this school to everyone., especially the returning citizens that are having a hard time out there with employment. This will be a wonderful career. I said CAREER. and not just a JOB! go through michigan works and get started! I got my permit on my very first try! Have confidence in yourself, and be not discouraged! I absolutely recommend Suburban. When I started out they actually taught me about how things would be, not just the driving side. On another note, do not use the financing if they are still with partners financial. Find a company you like and let them deal with them. Partners has been a nightmare to deal.

Smitty, skip, tommy and Irene. Thank you for teaching me as much as you can in a short amount of time. These teachers have the experience to get you to succeed in a brutal career. I couldn't have done it without their coaching. I currently work at ups and will be there until I retire. Thank you.

I loved the school everyone there are amazing and they really care about the students and helping the students succeed on being properly trained I loved my experience with them and recommend anyone trying to get a cdl go here thanks ashley, the owner, skip, karl, smitty, Bob, butch an tom for everything you guys are awesome

Staff and instructors were extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The school gives you everything you need to pass the State test and get your license. You get out of it what you put into it. In about a month you can well be on your way to a very profitable career.

Suburban is an outstanding school to learn how too drive. instructors are actual truck drivers that know what they are talking about and they have a job placement program that I believe is second to none.really recommend suburban.
